Before Rental
An international driver’s license is not mandatory if your national license is printed in the Latin alphabet (e.g. EU, US, Australia).
If your license is printed in non-Latin scripts (e.g. Cyrillic, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese), you will need to present both your national license and a valid international driving permit (IDP).
You’ll also need to provide a valid passport or ID card and a credit or debit card to pick up the vehicle.
Reservations are made by vehicle category, not specific makes, models, or colors.
However, if you have a preference, let us know during the booking process — we’ll do our best to meet your request depending on availability.
Yes, we offer one-way rentals.
You can return your vehicle in Split, Zadar, or Zagreb for an additional fee according to our current price list.

No, all Car 4 You rentals include unlimited mileage.
Drive as much as you want — no hidden fees or restrictions.
Yes, taking the vehicle on a ferry is allowed.
An additional fee applies, so please inform us at the time of pick-up or during your rental before boarding the ferry.
A cross-border fee is charged only if you plan to travel outside the EU — for example, to Montenegro or Bosnia and Herzegovina — due to higher risk factors.
This fee is fixed (one-time) and does not depend on rental duration or number of countries visited.
Traveling within the EU is free of charge.
Our office is located just across from the Arrivals building, in the designated rent-a-car area.
If possible, we’re happy to meet you directly at the "Kiss and Fly" zone, right in front of the terminal.

Your rental includes a basic coverage package, which limits your liability in case of damage.
The excess amount ranges between € 1 300,00 and € 2 700,00 depending on the vehicle category.
We also offer optional insurance upgrades:
Silver Coverage Package – covers damage to the car body but does not include tires, windows, or undercarriage.
Gold Coverage Package – provides full coverage including the car body, tires, undercarriage, and windows. With this option, your liability is fully covered.
Important: Even with full coverage, certain damages are not covered, such as refueling with the wrong type of fuel, losing keys or license plates, driving under the influence, or receiving fines.
A deposit is required because some incidents are not covered by insurance, including:
Refueling with the wrong fuel, failing to refuel, losing the keys or license plate, driving under the influence, receiving parking or traffic fines.
If you book Gold Package coverage and pay rental amount at pick-up, the deposit is reduced to €100, regardless of vehicle class.
You must be at least 19 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Drivers under 21 will be subject to a Young Driver Surcharge, which is applied daily to all drivers listed in the rental agreement.
If your license is not printed in the Latin alphabet, you must also present an international driving permit.
During Rental
You can pay parking fine directly to the issuing authority, or upon returning the vehicle, with an additional administrative fee.
In case of a traffic violation, the fine will be sent to us as the registered vehicle owner. We will then inform you by email or phone with further instructions.
Yes, a deep (chemical) cleaning fee applies if the vehicle is returned in a condition that requires intensive cleaning (e.g. stains, bad odors, food residue), or if the non-smoking policy has been violated.
The correct fuel type can be found:
- on the rental agreement,
- in the vehicle documents,
- on a label inside the fuel cap,
- and often on the keychain tag.
Always double-check the fuel type before refueling.
In the event of loss or theft:
- Report it immediately to the nearest police station and request an official report.
- Present the police report when returning the vehicle.
- Notify our technical support within 24 hours via email or phone.
If you lose the key, please contact our technical support team immediately.
We will arrange for a replacement key to be delivered to your location and inform you of the cost, which will be charged upon return of the vehicle.
Check whether the key is damaged or exposed to moisture (e.g. dropped into water).
If not, the issue may be a dead battery or electronic malfunction.
Unlocking instructions:
? Mechanical key:
If the driver’s door lock is not visible, gently remove the plastic cap from the door handle, then use the mechanical part of the key to unlock the door.
? Bluetooth key:
Inside the key housing, you’ll find a hidden mechanical key. Remove the plastic cap and unlock the door manually.
⚠️ Please return the plastic cap to its original position or hand it to our staff when returning the vehicle.
⛔ Do not start the engine. Starting the car can cause major damage.

? Tip: Always check the correct fuel type on the fuel cap label, key tag, and rental documents before refueling.
If you have purchased coverage and reported the incident to the police, you will not be charged.
If you did not purchase coverage, damage will be charged according to our official damage price list, depending on the vehicle category.
An additional damage processing fee also applies.
? No, smoking is strictly prohibited in all our vehicles.
If smoking is detected, a cleaning fee will be charged for odor removal and interior treatment.
Yes, you can purchase additional coverage even after your rental has started.
You’ll need to:
- Visit the nearest Car 4 You office,
- Undergo a vehicle inspection,
- Sign an amendment to your rental agreement.
Our staff will help you choose the best option for your continued rental period.
After Rental
If you're returning the vehicle outside of regular office hours, please park it in the designated return area, ensure it is:
- securely locked,
- all personal belongings are removed,
- and place the keys and documents into the Key Box.
Your deposit will be automatically released within three working days of returning the vehicle, depending on your bank and card type.
